Meg the pro :)

Love!

Enu was very excited, not scared at all!

Elle is a lightweight adventurer!

Loving it!

Mita had a great time as well, but hates being in pictures. fI you ever wonder if she gets to have family fun, the answer is yes!

With school looming in the coming week, we took the kids for a last hoorah and tested out a new child’s zipline down in Hocking Hills.  It was a success for sure. Meg has zipped lined on the a big zip line before, but the others have never so it was a new adventure.  They adored it and as a parent it was so fun to watch!

I’ve ziplined before and know how safe it is when done right, so I had no worries of them falling. An added bonus is that once the kids lock in to the belay they are in for the whole course. No changing of the belays on every platform like with a normal course.

My favorite shot of the day is this one:

Enu showing her attitude!

We’ve been collecting trash lately and keeping it out of the recycle bins.  An idea on Pinterest and the fun that is Angry Birds is to blame.   Ours may not look like the example I got the idea from, but the girls helped make it and it was a nice, busy activity.  Great for a day I didn’t feel like hitting the pool.  The fun thing with making your own Angry Birds game is that you can keep adding to it. The kids are planning on saving and painting a few cereal boxes to make it more challenging.

Age wise, one of the 12 year olds helped make it, but didn’t get into playing it. Another 12-year-old wanted nothing to do with it, the ten-year old helped make it and played for a while. The seven-year old is in Angry Bird heaven and so are the neighbors (9 and 5).  This promises to be a good go to activity for the weeks to come.

Our game looks like this and already has evidence of well-played fun on it hours later!

Our next plan is to design a Where’s My Water game…help me!

Flip Flops Rule

I have little to say, little to show, but I am still here and having a great summer with my family.  Maybe I’ll come up with a really cool post this week, maybe I won’t.  I smile though, because I know you all will still love me :)

I started work today. Just a few hours a week to make me feel like a grown up again.  The kids are vegging out, reading tons, swimming like fish, attending Girl Scout camps and doing all the other things that make summer so special.

How is your summer going?
