About Four Against Two

We are a family of six.  Well, six humans, a dog, a cat and three hamsters.  To a lot of people we are a large family.  Heck, to me we are a large family!  I am  Mandy.  I am 36 years old, a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).  I only work a few hours a week as a LC as my full-time job of mothering, is well:  full-time.  I like to read as a hobby and of course blog!  Def Leppard is my all time favorite band and I listen to music very loud when the kids aren’t around. I adore the color purple and taking non-professional pictures on my Nikon.

 

Hubby and I have been married for 16 years now.  Hubby is an amazing husband and father who loves to mountain bike and be out-of-doors.

 

We have four daughters Meg (12), Mita (11),  Enu (9) and Elle (6).  They are four amazing and unique girls who keep us very busy.  We are a transracial-adoptive family with Mita and Enu having been adopted in Spring of 2008 from Ethiopia.

 

My blog is about our lives so it covers everything from stupid things my dog does to the complexities of being an adoptive family. I talk about breastfeeding, family and also review books and toys.
